Lake Twp. – Damien Barker, 26, Toledo, was charged July 2 with theft from the Flying J Travel Center, Warns Road, where he was employed. Police said he was taking cash from the register and reported it as being paid to lottery winners.

Scott McKenzie, assistant professor of geology, Mercyhurst University, holds a piece of lake glass that is believed to be from a pre-1920's wine transport container. McKenzie was a guest speaker at the Toledo Harbor Lighthouse Festival held at Maumee Bay State Park.
