For the first time in 83 years, Piping Plovers, a critically endangered species, have returned to the shores of Lake Erie, nesting specifically at Maumee Bay State Park. Bird watchers from all over the world are expected to come to Maumee Bay for the upcoming hatching.

Genoa's 135-year-old town hall was officially designated with the unveiling of a special marker from the Ohio History Connection. The event took place last Thursday evening at the beginning of the annual Genoa Homecoming.
