Jerusalem Township Trustee Beau Miller noted some of the highlights in the township last year at a recent “State of the Communities” meeting at Mercy St. Charles Hospital that was sponsored by the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Metroparks Toledo unveiled plans for Phase 2 of Glass City Metropark, located on the east side of Toledo’s riverfront.
“Construction of Phase 2 is going on right now,” said Scott Carpenter, Toledo Metroparks spokesperson.

Construction is just beginning on Phase 2 of Howard Marsh Metropark in Jerusalem Township to restore an additional 243 acres of coastal wetland along the south shore of Lake Erie.
Metroparks of the Toledo Area recently constructed a spur dike at Howard Marsh Metropark to protect an area of Jerusalem Township from flooding due to the area’s eroded dike system.
