First-team quarterback knows the game of football

Alan Miller Jewelers First Team All-Press quarterback Drew Kuns is like most quarterbacks.

"I just like how you have the ball every play," the Clay senior said. "You can control the game."

Kuns did a good job of doing that during his two-year career. The 6-3, 180-pound first-team All-City League pick holds all but two school passing marks for a game, season and career.

Genoa fans can watch playoffs on cable television
Genoa gridiron fans will be able to watch the Comets’ Division IV regional final playoff game against Ottawa Glandorf on local cable television.

Friday’s game at Bowling Green State University’s Doyt Perry Field will be shown on Time-Warner Cable numerous times starting on Monday on Channel 21, says producer Mike Jameson, owner of Creative Video Imagery and Toledo Sports

Speedster Drew Plummer no quitter on the soccer field

Coach Steve Hoffman asks a lot from his forwards for the Lake girls’ soccer team.

One task in particular, however, is crucial to the Flyers' success.

"Their job is to score goals," Hoffman said, "and set people up to score goals."

No one did that better for Lake - or in the Suburban Lakes League - than Flyers sophomore forward Drew Plummer, who was voted the SLL Player of the Year.
