Oak Harbor makes history by winning third straight

The seventh-ranked Division II Oak Harbor wrestling team made history this past weekend by winning their third straight Sandusky Bay Conference title for the first time ever. 

Coaches say the stage was set for a showdown with the recharged team from Edison and a tough Perkins squad. After having two weeks off and working hard during that time, the wrestlers would have to do things right knowing they would be short one weight class, with no entry at 215 pounds. 

Mud Hens double play ticket packages going fast

The Toledo Mud Hens have announced the addition of 250 Opening Day Double Play Ticket Packages following the sale of the initial 500 packages for this two-day event.  The games will take place on April 16 and 17.  Both contests begin at 5:30 p.m. The price for the ticket package is $21.

Clay wrestlers are City champions, and smart, too

Two days after winning its first league title in more than four decades, the Clay wrestling team was back at practice on Monday.
"We started practice at 10 a.m.," coach Gerry Anthony said. "We have sectionals coming up this weekend (Friday-Saturday at Rogers) and we have plans on winning that, too."
