Turski transfers to Bowling Green, to pitch in MAC

Katilyn Turski will play for Bowling Green State University after a strong freshman season for the Express.  She will be a mid-season transfer for the Falcons. 

The right-handed pitcher was 20-10 in 31 starts for the Express in 2012-13.  The Cardinal Stritch graduate led the Express in a plethora of pitching categories, including innings pitched (197.0), wins (20), and strikeouts (111).  Turski also pitched 22 complete games for the Express in 2012-13.  She was intrumental in helping the Express to a 24-17 record overall, including an 8-4 mark in conference play.

The 2014 racing season at Fremont Speedway promises to be one of the most exciting and unique in the 64 years of racing at The Track That Action Built.

Here are a few highlights fans and race teams will want to mark on their calendars:

• Season opener on Saturday, April 12th featuring the Fort Ball Pizza Palace 410 Sprints; Fremont Federal Credit Union 305 Sprints and AAA Ohio Auto Club Dirt Trucks.

 
State wrestling, basketball tourney tickets go on sale

Ticket sales began Jan. 17 for Ohio High School Athletic Association state tournaments in wrestling (team and individual), girls’ basketball and boys’ basketball which will be held in February and March on the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus.

Ohio State’s Jerome Schottenstein Center is the site of three of the four state tournaments.
