Brittany Bogart picked to captain Ohio Northern

As a freshman, she played in all 27 games off the bench, averaging two points and 2.4 rebounds. She scored a season-high six points against Marietta and Baldwin-Wallace, but scored at least one point in 19 games. Her first collegiate game she grabbed a career-high nine rebounds against Bethany.

As a senior forward at Northwood in 2006, Bogart averaged 22.1 points and grabbed 10.5 rebounds and join Waite’s Shareese Ulis as Alan Miller Jewelers Press Co-Player of the Year. Bogart became Northwood’s first girls’ player to reach 1,000 career points and only the third in the history of boys or girls basketball at the school.

“She works her tail off inside,” said then-Ranger coach Ken Koperski. “She uses her body well to get position. We get a pass off to her and she’s got a good fake and puts it in strong. She has learned how to play that post position very well. Even though she’s undersized, she knows how to take it up to the basket and does it all the time.”
