After winning four consecutive Sandusky Bay Conference titles and five out of the last six, the Oak Harbor Rockets don't appear to be missing a beat.

In this young season, the Oak Harbor girls track team has already won two major invitationals while finishing second at another, a sign that they could be on their way to content for another SBC title.

Former Florida State women’s basketball player Natasha Howard (Waite) made school history on Monday night, being selected fifth by the Indiana Fever in the first round of the WNBA Draft.

Howard’s pro selection makes her the highest WNBA Draft pick in FSU Women’s Basketball history, surpassing former player Jacinta Monroe’s sixth overall selection by the Washington Mystics in the first round of the 2010 WNBA Draft. Howard, a Toledo native, is the ninth Seminole to earn a selection in the WNBA Draft.

Howard is the first FSU player to be selected by the Indiana Fever. She is projected to be a multi-dimensional force who can continue to expand her game. As a Seminole, Howard has shown her ability to have good range from the floor, knocking down 25 3-pointers before she suited her game in the low post in her junior and senior years. She has earned praise for her overall versatility, finishing smoothly around the rim and having a consistent touch from mid-range.
