State-ranked Clay rolling, still undefeated in league

With the amount of talent and experience the Clay softball team brought back this season, no one should be surprised at how well coach Brenda Radabaugh’s team has fared this season.

The Eagles, who returned 10 letter winners from last year’s Three Rivers Athletic Conference championship squad, were 16-2 and 7-0 in the TRAC through Tuesday.

Woodmore track and field coach Brian Ryman admitted that overtaking Eastwood and Otsego at this year’s Northern Buckeye Conference meet will be very difficult.

At this point in his life, you would guess Michael Deiter is enjoying the spring semester of his high school senior year and thinking about summer before heading off to college.

However, Deiter, who is done with classes at Genoa High School, is already in college.

And, he's not your average college student. He's a student-athlete who is already practicing with the University of Wisconsin football team.

Deiter got to this point by graduating early from Genoa High School over the winter, something that is becoming more common with college athletes.
