Athletic trainer proves valuable part of Woodmore athletics

When Woodmore athletic trainer Cynthia Marley was younger she was injured as a athlete. After her injury she had to go through physical therapy, and that is when she decided that she wanted to be an athletic trainer.

Marley went to high school at Southview and attended the University of Charleston in West Virginia. She works for ProMedica and received her training experience while in college.

Marley’s favorite part about Woodmore is the students. She said the sports with the most injuries are football and soccer.

“Students can help themselves prevent injuries with more conditioning in the off season,” said Marley.

Woodmore athletes say they like Marley.

“She is very nice and helpful,” said sophomore Evan Ulinski. “She taped my ankles before every football game.”
