The Jerusalem Parents Group held its Second Annual Jog-a-Thon fundraiser on October 14. Started by Melissa Lammers, this school-wide event involved students grades K-5, as well as volunteers and staff members.
The goal of this fundraiser was to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition, while raising money to benefit Jerusalem Elementary.
Of the funds donated, 100 percent will be used for the school. This year’s monies are slated for additional playground equipment, as well as for various events and supplies.
Despite the windy, rainy weather, the students appeared to enjoy getting outside and showing their school spirit during this fundraiser.
