Oregon based team wins state football championship The Toledo Browns Senior Division (10 to 12 year olds) flag football team completed its season in Columbus at Ohio Stadium (The Horseshoe) at The Ohio State University by winning the state championship.
The Browns play in the GameTime Sportz/NFL Ohio Youth Flag Football League. This is the first season for the league in Northwest Ohio although the league has been flourishing in the Columbus area for eight years. The league played their games at the Lucas County Recreation Center in Maumee.

The league champion Browns went undefeated this season with a 9-0 record in league play and capped off the season with seven victories and no defeats in Columbus at The Tournament 4 Causes, which is the charity event that is sponsored by the league to determine the State Champions in each division.
The Browns are coached by Mike McGee and Jeff Wamer from Oregon. The team has seven players, five 10-year-olds and two 12-year-olds. The league requires each player to have a nickname that they display on the back of their NFL style jersey. The Browns players are 10-year-old Oregon residents Dempsey “Demps” Coughlin, Michael “X-Factor” McGee, Reese “The Breeze” Wamer, Jake “The Snake” Novak, Brody “Lebro” Leichty, 12-year-old Toledo resident Tyler “Wollfy” Wolff, and 12-year-old Perrysburg resident Andrew “Finny” Finfrock.
Oak Harbor baseball players head to Findlay, B-W Two Oak Harbor baseball players, D.J. Everett and Josh Warnke, will continue their careers at the collegiate level. These two helped lead Oak Harbor to their first Division II district championship in school history, plus the team finished as regional runners-up, missing the state final four by one game.
Everett will attend the University of Findlay and play for the Oilers. Everett was honorable mention All-Sandusky Bay Conference during his senior year at Oak Harbor, hitting .290 for the year with a .449 slugging percentage. Everett had two home runs during his senior year along with 16 RBI, five doubles, 20 singles, and 20 walks while playing first base for the Rockets.
Warnke will attend Baldwin-Wallace and play baseball. Warnke was Oak Harbor's starting shortstop the past two years and earned a first team All-SBC selection his senior year. Warnke had a .447 batting average during his senior year with one hom run, 24 RBI, 11 doubles, one triple, and 32 singles. Warnke had a .635 slugging percentage and pitched 10 innings for the Rockets.
