The Genoa wrestling program will be sponsoring a wrestling camp June 15-17 at the Genoa Athletic Complex for ages 8 through high school. This will be the program’s seventh annual camp and this year, organizers are bringing in four new counselors.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. Youth wrestlers will be separated from middle school and high school wrestlers. Counselors include:
A.J. Grant: University of North Carolina coach and two-time All-American at the University of Michigan
Mike Kulczycki: University of Michigan coach, four-time NCAA qualifier and All-American at UM, and two-time Ohio State champion from Lakewood St. Edward.
J.D. Bergman: first-team US World team member at 211.5 pounds and 2012 Olympic hopeful, three-time All-American and four-time NCAA qualifier at Ohio State, and two-time Ohio state prep champion at Oak Harbor.
Nick Purdue: Genoa native and junior at Ohio University, two-time Mid-American Conference runner-up, and two-time NCAA qualifier.
Felipe Martinez: junior at Genoa and a three-time OHSAA State Champion (two at St. Paris Graham and one at Genoa)
