She was recently named second team All-City and honorable mention All-District 7 and was a member of the District All-Star match in 2010. She has also spent five years playing club volleyball with Premier Volleyball Club at the national level. Morrison was a part of a 16-1 Premier team that placed third in Gold at AAU Nationals in 2008 and most recently has been a part of an 18-1 team.
Morrison also played on the Premier International team that played in Paris, France, Germany, Belgium, and Amsterdam this past summer. She will be teaming up again with past Premier teammate Kelsey Fitzpatrick, a current freshman for the Indiana Tech Warriors, which finished 2010 ranked No. 13 in the nation.
Morrison also participates in track, soccer, basketball, and travel fast-pitch softball.
"Alexis will bring some great experience with her from Premier that will help her at the college level right away. Her quickness, athleticism, and excitement in being a part of our program is going to be key to her success at the net with the Warriors next season. We are looking forward to having Alexis as part of program next year," says Indiana Tech head coach Kirsta Solberg.
After completion of her four-year degree at Indiana Tech, Alexis plans on advanced studies and a medical degree towards her pursuit of a career as an orthodontist.
