Clay hockey playing in fundraiser for Kyle Cannon Participating teams are utilizing the Toledo Walleye High School Hockey program to raise money for Clay hockey player Kyle Cannon. Cannon was paralyzed while participating in a game in Dayton in December of 2008.

There will be three high school hockey games at the Huntington Center downtown on January 1. At 11:15 a.m., a pre-game ceremony will be held. At 11:30, Maumee will play Perrysburg. At 1:20 p.m., St. Francis De Sales will play Sylvania Northview, and at 3:10 p.m., Anthony Wayne will play Clay.
The ticket cost is $15 and includes admission to all three games. Tickets can be redeemed at the Toledo Walleye ticket office for any 2010-2011 Toledo Walleye home game. High School teams will earn $5 per ticket sold, which they then donate to the Kyle Cannon Benefit Fund. Order tickets online at www.toledowalleye.com/cannon.
Sports Announcements The start time for the Oak Harbor boys’ basketball contest at Genoa on January 4 has been changed to accommodate Ohio State's participation in the Sugar Bowl. The JV game will now start at 5 pm with the varsity game to follow.
