Eastwood to celebrate Frenchy Filiere Night
The Eastwood High School athletic department is planning its annual Doyce “Frenchy” Filiere Night on Dec 16 starting at 6 p.m. Filiere was a long-time coach at Troy-Luckey and Eastwood. The Eastwood teams will be playing Woodmore. The school is inviting former players, cheerleaders, managers, and scorekeepers to sit in a reserved section. There will be a hospitality room after the game for those interested. Oregon registration is open for a boys’ fifth and sixth grade league and a fourth, fifth, and sixth grade girls’ volleyball clinic and league. The volleyball clinic will begin in January, followed by league play in February. Registration will be accepted for both sports until Jan. 4.
