The incoming Woodmore football coach is 26-year-old Britton Devier, and he’s ready to change Woodmore’s football program for the better.

By looking at Devier’s coaching experience, it’s evident why he was hired. Devier was an assistant coach for both Otsego and Patrick Henry.

At Patrick Henry, Devier served as the receiver and defensive back coach and was also involved at the junior varsity level. During the two years he spent at Patrick Henry, the team went undefeated in the regular season with an impressive 10-0 record.

Both head coaches from Otsego and Patrick Henry praise Devier for his dedication and intelligence. Athletic Director Shane Dyer said Woodmore selected Devier out of 52 other candidates because of his enthusiasm and the success he’s had coaching other teams.

This will be Devier’s first time in a head coaching position. One of Devier’s first assignments is to hire a coaching staff.

Where will Devier fit into Woodmore’s teaching program? His teaching position is currently undetermined.
