The Oregon Jr. Eagles Travel Baseball program will hold tryouts for the 2009 under 11, 12 and 13 teams on Aug.  17 at the Oregon recreation facility on diamonds 5 and 6.
       
U11 evaluation will be noon to 2 p.m.; U12 from 2-4 p.m. and U13 from 4-6 p.m.

Youth soccer
The East Toledo Family Center will be registering youth soccer leagues beginning Aug. 18-29 from 12:30-6 p.m.  Leagues include midget division for grades K-1; minor division for grades 2-3, and major division for grades 4-6.
      
Fees will be collected at the registration. Parent meetings will be held in September.
 
Softball tourney
The first annual Cornhole Softball Tournament will be held Aug. 16 starting at noon at the Sandusky County Sportsmen Club. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and costs $30 per team of two. Sponsored by the Gibsonburg Volunteer Fire Department.

Football players wanted
The East Side Raiders will hold practice Monday, 6:00 pm at Blasko Field, York and Wheeling, behind the former Holy Rosary School.
