The Lake Athletic Booster Club will is conducting a fundraiser to help with construction of its new multi-use athletic facility.
The Delventhal Company manages construction of the building, and financing provided through the Genoa Bank. Currently, the Lake Athletic Boosters are looking for continued financial support. Large private donations and corporate sponsorships are also accepted with a special recognition.
In addition, a brick recognition fundraiser is being offered through the Booster Club. Engraved bricks, built into the walls of the building with your name permanently displayed for all to see. There are three levels of bricks that can be purchased: $100, $250, and $500. Call Tom Steedman at 419-261-2727 or Dave Shaffer 419-661-6641.
The building is a 3,000 square foot brick building located directly behind the track/soccer bleachers at Lake High School. It has public restrooms, concession stand, covered shelter area, storage room and press box. The building will service soccer, track, baseball, softball and cross-country.
“The building will enhance the already great athletic facilities Lake Schools have. It will improve the operation of athletic contests, eliminate the need to rent costly portable toilets, and increase revenues for the booster club through concession sales,” says a statement released by the school.
The building is entirely funded through private donations and booster club funds. No school district tax monies are being used on this project. The Lake Athletic Booster Club has taken a 15-year loan to pay the balance of construction costs after a generous donation to start the project.
