Eisenhower seventh and eighth grade football players are to report for practice Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. Practices will continue each night until 8 p.m., and on Aug. 14 a mandatory parents meeting will be held after practice.

Eastwood eighth grade volleyball practice begins Aug. 10 from 4-6 p.m., and seventh grade Aug. 10 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The Eastwood seventh grade football practice begins Aug;. 14 from 9-11 a.m. and equipment will be passed out. Seventh and eighth grade cross country begins Aug. 10 from 8:30-10 a.m. and meets under the big Mulberry tree at the high school. All fall sport athletes must have a physical turned into the school before practicing. Forms are available at eastwood.k12.oh.us or pick one up at the middle school or high school office.

Jerusalem Recreation is registering for fall soccer, flag football, and tackle football in person Aug. 10 from 5-7 p.m. in the rec office. Forms are available in the office lobby behind the township hall and can be left in the security box with proper payment. Call Mike at 419-343-4629.

The Oregon Hurricanes 14 and under girls fast pitch softball team will be having open tryouts on August 15-16.  Players can find registration forms at www.oregonhurricanes.com.   The Hurricanes compete in spring, Summer Gold, and summer tournament schedules in Northwest Ohio. Tryouts will be at the Oregon Recreation Center.

The Fourth Annual Jim Cowell Memorial Golf Outing will be at Sugar Creek Golf Course Aug. 15. Registration for the 9-hole, 4-person scramble begins at 8 a.m., and play begins at 8:30. Cost is $18.50 per person. Deadline to register is Aug. 8. Call Art at 419-691-9324, Roger at 419-698-4542, or the golf course at 419-862-2551.
