The Genoa Wrestling coaches recently sponsored the Fifth annual Buckeye All-American Camp June 8-10 at Genoa High School.

Genoa coach Dominic D’Emilio said the three-day camp was a success with over 88 wrestlers aged 8-18 in attendance representing 13 area schools. Schools and communities represented included Bowsher, Clay, East Toledo, Elmwood, Genoa, Gibsonburg, Huron, Lake, Maumee, Napoleon, Oak Harbor, Otsego, and Perrysburg.

The camp featured Ohio State All-Americans J.D. Bergman and John Clark. Oak Harbor native J.D. Bergman is a three-time All-American and placed second at the 2008 NCAA Championships as a heavyweight after moving up from 197 pounds.

Bergman is currently an assistant wrestling coach for Ohio State and is also pursuing a spot on the 2012 Olympic team. Clark is a two-time All-American and current Brown University assistant coach. Clark also had coaching stints at Stanford and Lehigh University.
