Genoa Senior, Simone Eli, was selected the Most Valuable Player in the prestigious D-III/D-IV Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association All-Star game April 19.
 
The Bowling Green State University-bound Eli was one of 20 D-III and D-IV players from around the state to be selected to play in the All-Star Game annually played at Capital University in Columbus. Simone scored 24 points in her North squad team's 84-83 thrilling victory.
 
The game is an annual showcase of the best players from around the state and is sponsored by the OHSBCA. Players represent their districts with Simone representing the Northwest Ohio District.
