8th Mingle at the Meadows set for July 23 The WSOS Senior Center in Gibsonburg and its community supporters are inviting everyone to attend the Eighth Annual Mingle at the Meadows event July 23 at the Luther Meadows senior apartment complex, 100 Meadow Lane, Gibsonburg.
Activities begin at 5 p.m. and will continue until 7:30 p.m. The Sleek Brothers band is the featured entertainment for the evening. Chicken sandwiches, hot dogs with Coney sauce, potato salad, baked beans, mixed fruit and ice cream will be available for purchase.

Little Sisters launch website The Little Sisters of the Poor have launched a new website, www.littlesistersofthepoornwohio.org.
Visitors to the site will find information about the Sacred Heart Home, upcoming events and other information. They can also enter prayer requests, or make secure online donations in honor of or in memory of a loved one.
“Supportive Spouses” grief support A five-session bereavement group for men and women adjusting to life without their mates will be held at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Toledo Center Thursday evenings Aug. 5 through Sept. 2 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Facilitated by a hospice bereavement counselor, discussion topics will include:
• Setting realistic expectations;
• Questions widows and widowers ask most;
• Taking care of yourself;
• Finding your way after the death of a spouse;
• How to ask for help at a time of loss;
• Overcoming loneliness after loss.
The group is free and open to anyone in the community who has lost a mate, whether or not they have a previous experience with Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Free lunch at the fair Ottawa County seniors who attend the Ottawa County Fair on Senior Citizen’s Day July 21 will have the opportunity to try some of the food options found on the midway using a food voucher provided in cooperation with American Legion Post 8732, the Oak Harbor Boy Scout troop #316 and the Lions Club of Oak Harbor.
Vouchers are available on a first-come, first-served basis to Ottawa County seniors only at local senior centers and the main office of Senior Resources, located at 8200 W. SR 163, Oak Harbor.

Bingo lunch planned Arbors at Oregon will host a bingo and lunch July 19 at noon at the East Toledo Senior Center, 1001 White St. The event is free and open to the public.

Care Consultation Families often have questions about the disease process of Alzheimer’s or related memory loss disorders, the availability of resources or how to plan for future needs.
Care Consultation is a free service offered by the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter and is available to individuals affected by Alzheimer’ disease or related memory loss disorder. Care Consultation is a one-on-one meeting to discuss individualized needs and can be offered in the privacy of an individual’s home, in a neutral setting or at the Alzheimer’s Association office.
An Alzheimer’s Association staff member can provide education, discuss options for the future, assist family in defining goals and provide information on available community resources.
