Ice cream social, apar
An Ice Cream Social will be held Sept. 19 from 2-5 p.m. at Oak Harbor United Methodist Church, 133 E. Ottawa St. to showcase Covenant Harbor Independent Living Apartments, a senior housing community operated by LHS Housing Services.

Ice cream and other desserts will be available by donation in the church’s fellowship hall. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the adjacent Covenant Harbor apartments.

Construction is currently under way at Covenant Harbor to add 24 new, one-bedroom apartments for low-income seniors age 62 and over. Construction also includes a kitchen and community room, which will be open for use by area residents.
