Twilight Wish program helps senior keep on truckin’

Perrysburg Care and Rehabilitation Center welcomed a special visitor June 7.

That afternoon, 82-year-young Margarette made a stop at the center on her cross-country journey, experiencing life on the road alongside a female truck driver.

Margarette’s wish is being made possible through the Twilight Wish Foundation, which has been granting wishes to the nation’s elderly since 2004. To date, they have granted more than 1,000 wishes.

“Our care center has held a special partnership with the Twilight Wish Foundation that began in 2008,” said Angelia Schlegel, Director of Marketing and Admissions. “As part of our partnership, our own residents here at Perrysburg Care & Rehabilitation Center have the opportunity to have their wishes granted if selected by the Foundation or employees.”

Twilight Wish Foundation has been granting Twilight Wishes to our nation's elderly since 2004 and to date they have granted over 1,000 very special wishes.

Eighty-two-year-old Margarette, who is realizing her wish to ride with a female truck driver across country as part of the Twilight Wish program, made a recent stop at Perrysburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.
