Mia Mottmiller Receives Award From Archie Griffin

Mia Mottmiller, a 7th grader in Mrs. Bing's language art's class at Eisenhower, won a writing contest sponsored by the Kroger Company during Black History Month.  Mia's entry was a poem entitled, "I'm A Proud Black American Women," written from Rosa Park's point of view. Mia won a laptop computer presented to her at a luncheon in Columbus on March 14. Archie Griffin, president of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, presented the award. Congratulations, Mia!
