Oregon Seniors say “Let Us Entertain You”

“Let Us Entertain You,” will be the theme of the second annual Oregon Senior Center Follies, planned for Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. and Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. in the auditorium at St. Charles Mercy Hospital.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors over 60 and $8 for children 12 and under. They’re available at the senior center, mr. Emblem, Welles Bowen in Oregon, Oregon Insurance, Curves in Oregon and at the Oregon Municipal Building.
 
Senior softball players wrap up successful season

The East Toledo Senior Activities Center ended another successful season with its Men’s Senior Softball League.

This year, 89 players ages 50 to 80 participated on nine teams in two leagues (age 50+ and age 59+). The season included 16 games, a home run derby, a single elimination tournament and an awards banquet at the senior center. All games and the home run derby were played on the fields located behind the East Toledo Family Center.
 
ElderCollege fall session offers a cornucopia of classes

Adults age 50 and older are invited to broaden their horizons and have a little fun at Terra Community College’s ElderCollege.

ElderCollege is a membership organization at Terra for those age 50 and beyond who share a common desire to learn. The course schedule varies from term to term but usually includes such topics as computers, history, art and music. There are also several educational outing opportunities.
