The East Toledo Senior Activities Center ended another successful season with its Men’s Senior Softball League.

This year, 89 players ages 50 to 80 participated on nine teams in two leagues (age 50+ and age 59+). The season included 16 games, a home run derby, a single elimination tournament and an awards banquet at the senior center. All games and the home run derby were played on the fields located behind the East Toledo Family Center.
The 50+ League champs and 50+ single elimination tournament champs were the Hunter Green team managed by Jim Henderson. The 59+ League Champs and 59+ single elimination tournament champs were the Kelly Green team managed by Dale Pertcheck.

The winners of each age division for the Home Run Derby were Brian Andrzejewski – 50-55, Fred Roberts -56-60, Jim Burnor – 61-65, Jerry Keefe – 66-70, Ken Kreuz - 71 and over.   

Registration for the 2009 season will begin soon. Men who will turn at least 50 in 2009 are eligible to play. If you are interested or know of someone who is interested, please call Mary or Brenda at 419-691-2254.
