• The organization has had six executive directors - Rev. H. W. Hoover, Warren Densmore, Vince Renda, Judy Metsger, Tim Yenrick, and Kim Partin.
• Rev. Hoover began the work of the Family Center on Aug. 4, 1901.
• TV personality Marc Price, who portrayed “Skippy” on the series “Family Ties,” visited the Center in the 1980s.
• The Senior Softball Team became the state champions in the Senior Olympics in 1996.
• The East Toledo Family Center attempted to beat the record for the longest cake in the world in 1991.
• The walkway at the Senior Center was dedicated in 1998.
• In 1971, the Warren Densmore Building was built at a cost of $602,000.
• The Center’s names have included the Ohio Neighborhood Institute, Toledo Settlement Association, East Toledo Neighborhood House and East Toledo Family Center.
