The eighth-grade students at Eisenhower Middle school recently finished reading “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens,” by Sean Covey.
During the unit, students had the opportunity to teach one another each of the habits. They participated in creative activities, including cutting marshmallows and scavenger hunts.

At the end of the unit, Clay graduate and Channel 13 reporter Jenna Lento visited the classroom to speak about her experiences as a student, and about how she worked toward her career goals.
She applied each of the seven habits to her life, and showed how they have helped her to become successful. The students had the opportunity to ask Lento questions about how they can apply the seven habits to their own career goals.
