Two area high schools have been recognized with a special plaque for outstanding foreign exchange grant student service by Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE)/U.S. State Department Students and their programs.
Clay High School hosted Diana Stepanova, a scholarship student in the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program from Russia and Tamara Zdravkovic, a scholarship student in American Servia & Montenegro Youth Leadership Exchange (A-SMYLE) from Serbia.
Eastwood High School hosted Aidai Isaeva, a scholarship student in FLEX from Kyrgyzstan.

The three students, who came through the CIEE High School Exchange Program, have given close to 300 hours of volunteer service to the community. The all expressed their appreciation to their respective schools and communities for welcoming them and helping them to do their part in their mission to learn and promote a better understanding and more peaceful existence.
