On June 26, Orchard Villa, a 164-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Oregon, will hold an open house to showcase recent renovations to the facility and an expansion of the rehabilitation area. Members of the community are invited to tour the facility between 1 and 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
The renovations at Orchard Villa, which has been serving the health care needs of the community since 1996, were designed to accommodate the ever-growing needs of residents in need of short- and long-term care services, according to Rey Nevarez, administrator.
The $3.4 million dollar updates include new flooring, carpet, wallcoverings and fireplace areas throughout the main corridors, as well as new carpeting, bedspreads, recliners, and wall-mounted flat screen televisions in each of the private rehab suites.

Nursing stations were also remodeled and quiet lounges were created on several units to provide a more private place for families to visit their loved ones.
“The nearly 500-square-foot expansion of the state-of-the art rehabilitation area was created to provide a larger treatment area for patients in need of short-term rehabilitation services following a hospitalization or illness and to accommodate the new Pulmonary Rehabilitation program,” Nevarez said.
