The Hall of Fame induction took place after lunch, which was prepared by the WSOS Food Service staff and served by the class of Chef Boyer at the Vanguard Career Center.
The purpose of the Hall of Fame award is to recognize senior volunteers in the community who are role models and who present a positive image of aging across various types of volunteer activities throughout the county.
This year’s group brings the total to 86 senior volunteers inducted into the Hall of Fame since its inception in 2003. Each inductee was awarded a plaque, while a larger plaque located at the WSOS senior center in Fremont lists the names of all inducted to date.
WSOS operates four senior centers in Sandusky County, including locations in Woodville, Gibsonburg, Fremont and Clyde.
Call Senior Services Coordinator Todd Robinson at 419-332-4069 for more information on participating at one of the centers.
