Adults age 50 and older are invited to broaden their horizons and have a little fun at Terra Community College’s ElderCollege.
ElderCollege is a membership organization at Terra for those age 50 and beyond who share a common desire to learn. The course schedule varies from term to term but usually includes such topics as computers, history, art and music. There are also several educational outing opportunities.
The fall schedule includes:
• Maxwell Art Glass - 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 10. Cost: $5 members, $10 non-members.
• The Mazza Museum at the University of Findlay - 11 a.m. Oct. 29. Cost: $10 members, $15 non-members.
Day Classes
• Investing Your Money – Facilitator Stan Manbeck. 10 a.m. to noon, Oct. 14. Cost: $5 members, $10 non-members.
• Poetry Writing - Instructor Acy Jackson. 1 to 3 p.m. Fridays from Sept. 26 through Oct. 31. Cost: $20 members, $25 non-members.
• The American Religious Experience - The Catholic Experience. Instructor Norb Wethington. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 16. Cost, including lunch: $15 members, $20 non-members.
• Painting with Watercolor – Instructor Jim Andrews. 9 a.m. to noon Fridays Sept. 26 through Oct. 31. Cost: $50 members, $60 non-members.
• Improving Your Drawing - Instructor Larry Ameigh. 1 to 3 p.m. Fridays Sept. 26 through Oct. 31. Cost: $40 members, $50 non-members.
