Oregon readying for 8 th annual Relay for Life

Organizers of the Relay for Life of Oregon are hoping to build upon their success last year and raise even more funds for the American Cancer Society.

According to Debby Stager, co-chairman of the event, 20 teams took to the field at Clay High School and raised $57,000.

“Last year we had 20 teams. We are currently at 24 teams and we are shooting for 27 teams by June,” Stager said. “We are trying to get as many teams as possible so we can raise even more money to help fight cancer.”

The Relay for Life is a fun-filled, overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship, help those who have been touched by cancer, and to empower individuals to fight back against the disease. Read Full Story....
