Local gymnastics team wins state title
After only being open for six months, Next Level Gymnastics’ Level 6 Team recently won the National Division team State Title.
Among the teams competing were Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy, Queen
City Gymnastics and Gym X-Treme, to name a few, each whose enrollment
number well into the thousands. Next Level’s enrollment is currently
60.
Next Level's Level 6 team includes Erin Gyurke, of Oregon; Emily McLargin and Elizabeth Mosher, of Genoa; Emily Woodruff, of Elmore; Erica Schiets, of Woodville, and Samantha Sperlik and Ashley O’Neal, of Rossford.
Taking home individual State Titles were Emily Woodruff, vault; Erica Schiets, vault and beam; Samantha Sperlik, bars; Elizabeth Mosher, floor; and Ashley O’Neal, beam, floor and the all around.
Erin Gyurke finished third out of 14 in her age level and Emily McLargin finished sixth out of 13 in her age level.
