In this year of the 2008 Summer Olympics, teachers at St. Jerome Elementary School in Walbridge celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week with a “Breakfast of Champions” to honor the team willing to go the distance to educate the school’s young students.
The teachers were invited to the breakfast, sponsored by the Parent School Association (PSA). Table decorations included Wheaties boxes featuring teachers’ pictures on them. Teachers were also awarded gold medals to be worn during the week to honor their excellent performance in the classroom.
