Cold temps are deadly for animals
To the editor: During the “polar vortex” that sent temperatures tumbling throughout the country earlier this month, countless animals suffered and died because they were left outdoors.

A pit bull that was chained to a tree in Texas froze to death, and in New York, a stray cat appeared to have frozen mid-stride.

Something smells
To the editor: So let’s say 40 million people don’t have health insurance. We totally disrupt the health insurance policies of the other 273 million people to “fix” the problem?
