Do our federal politicians like Marcy Kaptur and Sherrod Brown, who voted for this spending package, think that we are “stupid” enough to think the $10- to $13-a-week stimulus money that will be added to our paychecks is a wonderful thing?
Well sure they do. They also know that (thanks to the income tax laws) we are “stupid” enough to pay them every paycheck with tax deductions and then make do with our “net” pay amounts. They know we are “stupid” enough to pay the taxes they sneak into our bills for purchases, cell phones, cable and utilities.
They know we don’t want to acknowledge these taxes that are bleeding us dry and how they are spending our country into massive debt, but they think this trifle of a stimulus added to our checks will make us happy and help justify how they are spending us into debt.
They also know that when they screw this up they will blame our newest President just like they have blamed every other President for all the problems we face. Just remember, “stupid hurts.” If you want to start making a difference, tell our bickering Congressmen to enact the Fairtax at www.fairtax.org to help reduce the pain we are going to face.
Job well done
To the editor: I am writing this letter in regards to my son, who is attending the School of Hope and all of the services that have benefited him. He has been going there for nine years and enjoys the day to day structure. Some of the daily routines are home living skills, and working with his job coach who takes him to different job sites as well as Sandco.
As a parent, the love and support he receives from the teachers and staff is incredible and I know that he is in great hands on a daily basis which is a blessing to any parent. He looks forward to his outings such as: the movies, bowling, and visits to the nursing home doing activities with the residents.
He will be attending the School of Hope for one more year and will then graduate. The door does not close here, for he will transition to Sandco and continue to receive the support he has been getting all along, and as a parent I feel at ease knowing that this will continue with the transition.
I would love to say that my hat goes off to the School of Hope and Sandco for a job well done. I could not ask for anything more that you aren’t already giving or doing.
