Time to wake up 
To the editor: I see that the President of General Motors wants to add a $1 a gallon tax on gasoline. It seems all this government wants to do is raise taxes. GM has not repaid the tax money it took from you and I and every indication is that it will not.

He says that this would help his company meet the new mileage standards being forced onto his company by the federal government. This will be done by forcing you and me into small cars and electric vehicles which the government has to subsidize, with your and my tax dollars, in order to sell them.

What he is telling us is that the new standards are just another government mandate to change society and make us followers like sheep.

When are the people going to wake up to what the government is doing?
