Numbers can lie
To the editor: I was totally surprised that the red light was removed from the intersection of SR 2 and North Curtice Road near Oregon.

This is a dangerous intersection. I would assume that the “numbers” showed that a light wasn't warranted.

The problem here is the amount of travel trailer, motor home, and large SUVs trying to cross or turn onto the state route. Mixing the RVs with large semi traffic traveling at 60 mph just isn't going to work.

It will be worse May through September when activities at Maumee Bay State Park is in full swing. Sometimes you have to overlook the “numbers” and just use common sense.

That being said, the older I get, the more I find that common sense isn’t all that common.
