What are you thinking? To the editor: I had to write in response to John Szozda’s column in your Feb. 21 issue of The Press.
I received the issue here in Jacksonville, Fla., March 14. I recall when Bill Clinton wanted to sell one of the ports in California to the Chinese, there was an outrage. Maybe no one pays attention to The Docks in Toledo, Ohio.
Needless to say, Clinton’s idea never got off the ground and it was never sold to them. What are you people thinking up there?
Do you need more immigrants from China to take the jobs away from people who live around there? Does the United States need more immigrants who’ll need housing and jobs?
Let them change the ways in China. Don’t come to the U.S. to create your own little town. If you do sell to them, you had all better take a course in Chinese so you can communicate with them.
China will own the United States before long. President Obama has borrowed billions from them and now you want to sell your irreplaceable waterfront property to them. Judith Bitter Dailey Jacksonville, Fla. (Formerly of Genoa)
