Jerusalem Twp. to appeal ruling on Chief Stanton

Jerusalem Township trustees on Wednesday voted unanimously to appeal a recent court decision to reinstate ex Fire Chief Harold Stanton to his former position.

Trustees met with the township’s attorney, John Borell, of the Lucas County prosecutor’s office, to consider their options at a special meeting on Wednesday.

Water, sewer district has vacant board seat
The Wood County commissioners are seeking candidates to fill an unexpired term on the Northwest Water and Sewer District Board of Trustees.

The term will commence upon selection and expire on Dec. 31, 2018.  Applicants must live within the District and cannot be an office holding elected official.

 
Oregon - Hearings set for gas station, senior living facility

Oregon City Council will hold public hearings on Monday, Aug. 26, at 8 p.m. to hear requests for a Special Use Exception application for a new assisted senior living/residential care facility, and a Conditional Use application for the construction of a gas station.

Applicant Hussien Shousher, agent for Adams-Huron Investments, Ltd., is seeking a Special Use Exception in an R-2 Medium Density Residential District for the purpose of constructing the senior living facility at 3450 Seaman Road.
