11-year-old Northwood boy turns long hair into gift

Nathan Lord didn't get flustered when people standing behind him mistook him for a girl because of his long hair.

"I just turned around and laughed," he said. "Sometimes I'd tell them I'm a boy and they would say, 'Oh, I'm so sorry.' "

 
Going, going, gone-Antique Auction finds new home at old Lemoyne School

Lemoyne School was built in 1926 and between its opening and when it closed in 2007, thousands of students passed through its doors.

Dan Wilson attended Lemoyne School from first through eighth grade. He and his wife, Jane, had three sons attend Lemoyne from kindergarten through fourth grade.

 
Crazy Critter Lady takes baker’s dozen of ducks under her wing

Some people might not take too kindly to being called crazy, however, Kelly Meister, aka the Crazy Critter Lady, thinks the moniker is just ducky.

Meister, of Walbridge, is a writer, photographer and potter. She’s passionate – make that crazy - about critters of all kinds, including her five cats, lost frogs, injured squirrels and any other animal in need that happens to find her. She is affiliated with a number of animal charities and volunteers on Saturdays at The Healing Barn horse rescue in Millbury.
