Northwood to put 1.75 mill levy on May ballot

The Northwood school board has decided to place a 1.75-mill continuing permanent improvement levy on the May 5 ballot.

The district’s 2.5 mill permanent improvement levy, passed in 2004, expires this year.

Review board to be dissolved


Elmore village officials are considering a measure that would retain some elements of a board that was established to oversee improvement projects in the downtown business district funded by a grant program.

Village council has asked its legal counsel to draft legislation for moving most of the responsibilities of a design review board to the village planning commission.
