The first step in an attempt to have a lower speed limit imposed at the intersection of Millbury and Walbridge roads in Lake Township or to have the corner become a four-way stop has begun with the township trustees directing the police chief to compile a list of accidents at the corner in the past five years.

The trustees Tuesday directed Chief Mark Hummer to compile the list, which will be included with a letter to the Wood County engineer’s office asking for a traffic survey of the roads near the corner, said Ron Sims, a trustee.
