The Lake Township trustees have approved an automatic aid policy that calls for the township fire department to assist the Northwood Fire Department with structure fires.

The Oregon City Schools District is facing an $11 million deficit in 2016, according to Treasurer Jane Fruth at a school board meeting last Tuesday.
The district will have to pass a levy before then to avoid the deficit. She said.
After rejecting a permanent improvement levy request in November by a 41-vote margin, voters in the Genoa School District will again see a levy request on next week’s ballot – but with a twist.
School officials are again putting a 1.6-mill permanent improvement levy before voters but have opted to set a five-year term on the issue. The ballot issue that fell to defeat in November was to run continuously if it had passed.
Genoa Village council recently approved a 4 percent raise for administrator Kevin Gladden.
Gladden, who serves a dual role as administrator as well as public works director, now makes $62,400 annually, according to January’s council minutes. He also received a bump to the $2,000 longevity bonus level, Fiscal Officer Charles Brinkman said.
