An on-going dispute over parking and access to a garage in a Lake Township neighborhood has resulted in the arrest of an 84-year-old township man.

Police on June 12 charged James A. Caswell, of Cramer Street, after he allegedly slapped the arm of a township police officer who’d been called to a Kearsley Street property where Caswell was involved in a dispute over vehicles parked in the driveway to a garage he uses.

When it was announced Waite High School would receive $17.2 million for renovation by the Ohio Schools Facilities Commission, alumni were concerned because Scott was getting closer to $37 million.

Michael Gavioli, a former member of the now defunct political action committee Oregon Residents for Efficient and Effective Schools, announced the petition drive during the public forum held last week to discuss the results of a public survey.

The City of Oregon has begun construction on the Seaman Road Storm Sewer Improvement Project, which will include the installation of a storm sewer along the north side of Seaman Road to Clay High School.

An open channel and mounding will be installed along the east property line of city owned property across from Clay High School to Wolf Creek, according to Public Service Director Paul Roman.
