Runners ages 12 and older, including adult runners, are invited to participate in the weeklong Go the Distance Running School being held June 22 to 26 from 8”30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at a different Toledo Metropark each day. The school will focus on the motivation, goal-setting, self-discipline, knowledge and skill needed to be a better distance runner.
Athletes will interact and lean from experts including physicians, physical therapists, massage therapists, coaches, nutritionists and successful runners. The staff includes several of Ohio’s top road racers with Olympic trials credentials including bob Masters, Deb Wagner and Keith Madaras. Local runners with All-American and Olympic trials credentials will serve as guest speakers. Tuition for the class is $250. Every registered athlete will receive a pair of training shoes, a T-shirt and a water bottle. Enrollment is limited.
