Two years ago, local resident Keith Klewer answered the call of the Holy Spirit and wrote an original cantata for his church about the season of Pentecost.
“The Spirit in Us” will be presented at the newly renovated Maumee Indoor Theatre May 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets, which are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students, will be available at the door.
The musical, which is performed by the members and friends of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Toledo, is an inspirational and motivational hour of song, narrative and music intended to touch the heart and soul with a message of faith and healing.
In the words of Pastor Beth Giller, who wrote the narrative that brings the songs together, “This energetic piece traces the development of the early church from the resurrection of Jesus through the early missionary efforts of the Apostle Paul.
“It would be especially appropriate for church groups or groups of friends seeking an inspirational evening,” she said.
To order advance tickets, call Beth at 419-377-6076 or St. Mark’s at 419-691-3597. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.eventageous.eventbrite.com.
